If you’ve landed here, you’re probably wondering what on earth this website is.
Is it a clinic? A blog? A woman in midlife having an identity crisis involving needles and mugwort?
Yes.
This is the online home of Atlantic Women’s Wellness, which, for now, is equal parts acupuncture student diary, wellness blog, and long term love letter to women’s health. I’m in the middle of becoming a Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner, studying in Halifax, and getting ready to open my own clinic in Carleton County, New Brunswick in Fall 2026.
So at the moment, you’ll find a bit of everything:
- Reflections from my student clinic life in Bedford, NS
- Papers and projects I create as part of my studies
- Real talk about hormones, perimenopause, and the body’s wild wisdom
- Placenta encapsulation offerings (yes, really, it’s medicine, not madness)
- Traditional Chinese Medicine insights, written in plain language you don’t need a translator for
- And the messy, beautiful behind the scenes of a woman rebuilding her life, one meridian at a time
I’m not a doctor (yet), but I’ve spent decades walking with women through birth, loss, and all the weird, sacred in-betweens. I’ve also spent just as long trying to heal my own body through motherhood, stress, and modern chaos, and TCM finally gave me the language for what my intuition always knew.
So if you’re into wellness that’s earthy, not airy… real, not rigid… and rooted in both ancient medicine and small town grit, you’re in the right place.
This is where balance starts to feel like home again.
A Gentle Note: I’m a student of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and this space reflects my learning as it unfolds. TCM is deep, layered, and complex, and I’m still finding my footing within it. I will refine my understanding over time. I will make mistakes. That’s part of doing this honestly. What I share here is my current perspective, shaped by my teachers, clinical training, lived experience, and my own biases. It’s not absolute, it’s evolving. I welcome thoughtful conversation, shared insight, and respectful correction along the way. I humbly welcome your insight. Let’s learn together. You can always find me over on Instagram to keep the conversation going.
